Building a Marketing Team That Outlasts Any Single Campaign
It's tempting to measure a marketing leader by their best campaign. A more useful measure is what the team can still do a year after that campaign wrapped, once the leader who ran it has moved on to the next problem.
That kind of durability usually comes from a few unglamorous habits: writing the brief down properly instead of carrying it in one person's head, giving juniors real ownership of a channel before they've fully proven themselves on it, and treating agency and vendor relationships as long-term partnerships rather than one-off transactions.
None of this shows up in an awards submission. All of it shows up in whether the team can run the next campaign without you in the room.
